Early Career Investigators in Alberta Research Grant
Call for CICF research grant for Early Career Investigators in Alberta
The CICF has raised enough money in Alberta over the last few years to offer two $30,000 grants to early career investigators in Alberta undertaking research in Critical Care. The early career investigators can be physicians, nurses, RTs or scientists who are CICF members ($25 membership) and are within 5 years after completion of training. The funding is available to any qualified early career researcher in Alberta. For non-physicians (nurses, RT’s, dieticians, etc.) the early career requirement will not apply.
The grant application is available on January 15, 2025, on CICF website – www.cicf.ca. The grant application is due by March 15, at 9:00am MST. It is to be emailed to the CICF office to the attention of Sally (cicf@secretariatcentral.com) with the subject line “CICF Grant Application”. The award winners will be announced, and money transferred in the last week of April, 2025.
Grants will be adjudicated by an independent committee with the chair being an experienced investigator outside of Alberta.
Upon completion of the study, the awardee is required to send a report to the CICF President as well, to the Chair of the Alberta division of the CICF. All publications and presentations of the research must acknowledge the support of the CICF (Canadian Intensive Care Foundation).
